Markus Potter is currently the Interim Artistic Director of Theatre Aspen and the Producing Artistic Director of NewYorkRep. Markus directed the off-Broadway production of Church & State at New World Stages (off-Broadway Alliance award nomination for best new play, Stalking the Bogeyman (Outer Critics Circle Award nomination, New York Times critics' pick), London’s Southwark Playhouse (Off West End Award nomination for best production and direction). As commercial producer: The Broadway production of The Velocity of Autumn by Eric Coble (Estelle Parsons, Tony Award nomination). Work at other theatre's as an actor and director include The Guthrie, Denver Center, Berkeley Rep, American Conservatory Theatre, The Portland Stage Company, Weston Playhouse, Pasadena Playhouse, Long Wharf Theatre, and the Tour of Death of a Salesman with Christopher Lloyd. MFA from Columbia University.
